A Grammy is an award presented to people in the music industry to recognize achievements.  The Grammy awarded is judged by The Recording Academy.  The awards show recognizes the best recordings, compositions, and artists of the eligibility year (example: October 1 to August 31).  Here is a list of past Grammy award winners for the song of the year.
